Merger of the Empiris Foundation with the UBS Philanthropy Foundation
In June 2026, the Swiss Federal Supervisory Authority for Foundations (ESA) approved the merger of the three umbrella foundations of the former Credit Suisse (Accentus Foundation, Empiris Foundation, Symphasis Foundation) with UBS’s umbrella foundation, the UBS Philanthropy Foundation. The merged foundation will continue to operate under the name UBS Philanthropy Foundation.
The merger creates one of Switzerland’s leading and most significant umbrella foundations, committed to impactful philanthropy and sustainable social development. The merger enables resources, expertise and networks to be combined in order to support both donors and charitable organizations in an even more targeted and efficient manner.
